Innovation Track, where athanor began
On January 24–25 in Punta del Este, Uruguay, we hosted the first Innovation Track, led by Montevideo Tech Ventures and Alchemy Creations.
A small group of senior operators, engineers, and product leaders came together to work through real MediaTech challenges under real constraints, away from conferences and performative innovation.
Guided by Andy Beach and Juan Pablo Saibene, the group examined system-level shifts reshaping media technology: how AI is changing decision-making, where monetization models are breaking, and how fragmentation across tools, contracts, and platforms is eroding execution.
Those conversations continued beyond the weekend. They were refined into a collaborative working paper that became the foundation of The Athanor Manifesto, a first articulation of how we think about innovation, venture building, and what it takes to build durable MediaTech companies.
